TBT: Cory Wong At The Sugar Club
Just after my album was released earlier this year, ZASKA had the pleasure of opening for Cory Wong on 23 & 24 February at the Sugar Club in Dublin.
Being a huge fan of his solo work and his work with Vulfpeck and The Fearless Flyers, I was buzzin to share the same bill with the legend. Cory’s album, The Optimist, is low-volume funk heaven and his skills on the guitar – particularly his speed – are impressive!
Thanks to Cory’s pep talk during a yoga break backstage, I can now touch my toes (true story.) If you get a chance, defo check him live.
